Although many health programmes are currently being implemented in the global health field, health problems due to infectious diseases have still not been solved, especially in low-income countries. In particular, the development of medicines, vaccines and diagnostic agents necessary for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases is considered insufficient. I am planning to study how to promote and accelerate the discovery and development of new drugs and innovation for infectious diseases in the NU - LSHTM Joint PhD programme in Global Health. Through research, I would like to identify barriers in the field of global health product development and consider feasible strategies for eradicating infectious diseases prevalent in low-income countries. I appreciate being able to proceed with my own research as part of the WISE programme and I sincerely hope that through this programme various problems in society will be solved by the progress of research in various fields.
